I am a 29 year old female Historian from Argentina. I have a couple of thoughts about this, if you allow me... First of all, I fully support your movement, the government must hear people's voices, no matter how "effective" it is... Having said this, I think that there is a solution, a democratic solution to this, but the one who can solve this is the executive power. You voted a president to go against corporations, he has to do it, there is no need to chage the system altogether, the answer: more State, State to provide equality, redistribute, do what the market can't do and the wealthier are not willing to do. But it takes nerve. I see you and I think it's so inspiring, and yet I cannot but feel proud of our President and our people. She has confronted the "oligarchy", and has suffered their attacks over and over, with the media monopoly against her, the IMF too, but she did it, pay the debt, and show the finger to the corporations. We have one digit unemployment, 6% of our income goes to public education and only 2% for the debt. But this is not only because of her, Argentina has always had a public education and public health system, and we are not going to let no one force us to sell them! Now Chile is fighting for public education too, don't let anyone tell you you don't deserve something because you don't try hard enough, it's a lie. "Civilized" countries always saw latin american populism as barbaric, but it works, it's the "good" capitalism, let the rich complain, it's only fair, it's state driven equality when few people are willingly sharing and helping each other. Latin America is growing now, but we need you to be well off too, we support you, It's good to see Americans are also Americans, if you know what I mean. Greetings from the far end of the continent, hope I am not offending anyone with my comment! CFK in USA! :D
