Read the Rules

Wouldn't this be terribly counter-productive? You'd lay off adults doing the janitorial work, only to hire kids at a lower rate. The amount of jobs 'made' still remain stagnant.

Maybe they can lay off teachers, after they lay off the janitors, have the kids do the janitorial work, the janitors teach and the teachers can become the students.... Huzzah... I figured it out!

who cares about creating jobs to help anyone. the point is to let those poor kids work for every dollar, so that no wealth needs to be spread around. let's not care for one another. especially don't force me to help anyone in trouble with my hard earned money. let them clean the shit instead. you know, equal opportunity.

Raise the working age to 18 across the country. Impose severe penalties for hiring illegal aliens. Tariff imported Chinese goods. Impose a very large wage arbitrage tax on corporations like GE, BOA, etc that hire outside the US jobs that can be done by Americans. Tariff ALL IMPORTED automobiles and provide a subsidized no interest loan program for vehicles built in the USA.

Problem(s) solved.

Why are there asterisks between all the words in the post title?

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

to let it stand out against the other posts.

[-] 1 points by Coriolanus (272) 13 years ago

Oh. Thanks.

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

yeah. no deeper meaning there ;)

Newt Gingrich should run for the position of White House Janitor.

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

right on! :)

"Janitorial Duties at the White House: How I Defeated Communism With My Toilet Brush", the new novel by Newt Gingrich.

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

you're good!

isn't it scary that he's not forced to resign or at least to apologise after those comments?

[-] 1 points by JadedCitizen (4277) 13 years ago

What's scary about Newt's comments is that a lot of Pubes agree with him. His blatant disrespect of the child labor laws designed to protect innocent children is even more frightening.

this is the funniest post i have read in my whole three months of ever caring what other living people thought. Poor people, as if america ever had any, work harder and our more loyal than haters and hamster wheel junkies.

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

well, according to Newt Gingrich, poor people and their kids have bad work habits unless it's illegal work.

just wanted to point that fact out.

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

oh' and because a man running for the most powerful job in the word said it, it must be true. also as a conscientious objector, who fallows the laws of those i respect, I would rather give my money to the local pot pusher than give it to a tax paying pharma pusher.

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

erm, no. it only shows what an unbelievable asshole newt gingrich is and i wanted other people to know about it.

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

sorry, but i still stand by what i wrote and am glad to hear my discontent for you was all in my head. cheers!

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

no worries mate ;)

isn't it heartbreaking that that guy is leading in the republican primaries?

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

Especially, after the carnage he implemented during his Speakership in the House, I am surprised he is doing well. I'd rather see RP get the job and take the lumps from his infatuation with gold and Ayn Rand. But i don't vote so i only pontificate.

i could live with the fact that people vote for this guy because they believe it is true what he says. it would be sad, but i could accept it.

but nowadays the amount of money to spend on the campaign decides elections. that's not democracy. have you heard about this: http://www.theoccupiedamendment.org/

how can you accept something that is wrong?

"We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress & the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution." ~ Abraham Lincoln ~

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

of course i would fight it, but it would be easier to accept the peoples opinion then to know it's all just bought.

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

i'm a petition signing fool, and i just signed that one. thanks!

[-] 1 points by mha (142) 13 years ago

me too ;) you're welcome.

try to spread the word about it please. i'm trying, but there is only so much i can do.
