There is a story being circulated that the police lead and entrapped protesters over the brooklyn bridge. Im here to say that is not fully true. We were all told before we left the park to follow the lead banner, as we approached the bridge and the first half of the marchers went over the pedestrian walkway there was a group assembling on the side trying to gain momentum to go into traffic. I heard the police multiple times with the megaphone tell us we cannot go through and please stay to the side. and im wondering why are we trying so hard to stop traffic when we are already going over the bridge the correct way. eventually the cops backed off and thats the scene where it looks like they are leading us into a trap. but the person that lead the split is one of maybe three people I question may not have the groups best interest at heart. first the man who lead the break away was also causing up a stir back in the park before we left, coincidentally he was arguing with a guy who also was causing a scene at the park and this second person also made the big scene when Charles Rangle came. Im saying we have bigger problems and need to monitor each other for infiltrators.

I dont want to point out the person who was doing the diversion, but if you examine the videos well you can figure out who it is. this guy was so aggressive at the park, and there is video of me yelling and telling people to stay with the plan and not go into traffic. I fear that this movement is going to go the wrong way.

Yep, everyone needs to be very, very careful not to let any others lead them into wrong behavior. Unfortunately, if you really do have planted provocateurs it is very hard to rein in their behavior and their agenda winds up winning anyway. But I am concerned about naive people with good intentions who may be entrapped into wrong behavior. People need to be aware and need to be very firm in any responses to trouble makers that they have NO interest in violence and NO interest in criminal behavior and that this movement is not about that in any way shape or form. Keep reinforcing that with all you talk to.

My feeling was that people just thought it would be a good statement. It was, I think. Not surprised that a few would seem more gung ho than the rest.

This is great to alert everyone to. I think everyone is conscious of this strategy by this day in age, and communicating this kind of activity is important. Let's all keep our eyes and cameras open and stay united in peace. I will say that if a route had been posted prior to the march, the door wouldn't have been so wide open for this kind of division. Tighter communication and messaging will help going forward.
