Hi there,

A number of recent articles on Reddit and in the Wall Street Journal have called for the creation of a system to help organize and focus the civic discourse that our country desperately needs to help solve its myriad problems. We've been working hard on making PlainSite that very system. So far we have deliberately kept registration limited to educational, non-profit and specific commercial domain names, but we'd like to open it up some more. That's why we're extending this invitation for you to join.

You should now be able to sign up for PlainSite at http://www.plainsite.org using your free e-mail address. Although site registration is still not entirely open, we do want to hear your voice on the many issues that have already been posted, and we encourage you to post new ones (which can also be done anonymously without signing in). We hope that this staged approach to growth will allow us to keep the site's content of the highest quality possible, while still including as many people as we can manage given our limited resources.

We realize that different people might have different visions for what the ideal government web site should entail. While it's often difficult to accommodate everyone simultaneously, we want to hear your feedback, so if you have thoughts for us, please fill out the Contact Us form on our site. We will actually read what you write, and we'll respond if possible.

Thanks for your interest, and we hope you enjoy using the site.

Aaron
