It's not about them being wealthy it's about how their wealth is used.

[-] 1 points by IWantFreeStuff (119) from New Orleans, LA 13 years ago

Exactly. List all of the wealthy people you can think of that have used their wealth to affect elections.

You are right. I say we should ban the union's ability to influence elections. Outlaw Unions.

Why Barbara Streisand? Why Sean Penn? Any data to back it up?

Checks from Hollywood's A-list stars such as George Clooney, Eddie Murphy and Barbra Streisand added up to a one-night take of $1.3 million for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama,

Wrong 1%. start with those that profit most off of war and financial collapse. How about starting with those who participate in the Bohemian Club, hold top WTO and IMF positions, the Coucil on Foreign Reations, the Billdeberg Group, the Trilateral Comitee for example. Targeting media moguls serves no cause but to delegitimize our claims and cause confusion so the real 1% can continue their plunder of the world.

[-] 1 points by IWantFreeStuff (119) from New Orleans, LA 13 years ago

So there is more than one 1%? I'm confused.

[-] 1 points by Nulambda (265) 13 years ago

My bad. I mean that the 1% are not media moguls. Unless this is a tongue and cheek exercise. If this page is serious us about going after the real power players then see my suggestions.

[-] 1 points by IWantFreeStuff (119) from New Orleans, LA 13 years ago

So George Soros is not a 1%er?

[-] 1 points by Nulambda (265) 13 years ago

Targeting George sores only perpetuates the left/right paradigm. This is what the 1% wants. That's why Soros puts himself out there. He knows that will help divide the movement. Look into these other groups. You will see adios much more power and influence than Soros. Sores is just a distraction.

Yes, it's much easier to herd Jews once you get those little stars pinned to their clothing.

Scapegoating other people for your problems is just a way to avoid responsibility. The economy crashed in 2007/2008 because everybody was greedy, not just the 1%. We all bought a bunch of stuff that we knew that we couldn't afford. Don't try to blame somebody else now.
