Let's petition this government to allow the people more power to make decisions for this nation. We all have placed our trust into our government only to see that they are unable to get the US out of debt, create a substantial amount of jobs, and a great long list of other issues. We are a far more educated people than we were when this primitive idea of keeping the citizens out of the loop was actually working and it is time that we the people exercise that knowledge and exercise our rights as citizens of this country to be the masters of our own destiny. Sign the petition and test the government's ability to recognize that we have the power to elect and we have the power to decide that the government is unable to adequately run this country. Instead of Occupying Wall Street, Philly, Miami, and anywhere else, this country needs to occupy Washington, it needs to show that this is a serious movement where this government has wrong its people and has been irresponsible with tax dollars and policies and is forcing it's citizens to watch this nation begin to lose its standing in the world.
Yes, but did you also know that our government was founded with the sole purpose that the power of the government is given by the people, therefore it is our burden as the citizens to correct the wrongs by our government, especially in cases where oppression and denial of rights. Right now occupy wall street rally goers are being beaten in the streets while practicing the constitutional right of peaceful protest. Right now our government is coming up with no solutions to the massive amounts of problems that they themselves caused. Why shouldn't we as a people show them that we are the ones that placed them into power and should have the right to also place policies into action. It's not as if we as a nation could do any worse than the so-called experts that we elect into office that has spent well beyond their means, fought unnecessary wars, sent jobs overseas and even offered tax breaks to corporations that do so, and constantly make decisions on matters of personal faiths and beliefs as if they have the right to put regulations on them. The Government is drunk with power and they need to sober up and its our job to do it.

Hi. Are you familiar with the 99% Declaration? It outlines the process of petitioning the Government for a redress of grievances. The last statement is: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that IF the PETITION OF GRIEVANCES approved by the 870 Delegates of the NATIONAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY in consultation with the PEOPLE, is not acted upon within a reasonable time and to the satisfaction of the Delegates of the NATIONAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY, said Delegates shall utilize the grassroots network established in the election of the NATIONAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY to organize a new INDEPENDENT POLITICAL PARTY to run candidates for every available Congressional seat in the mid-term election of 2014 and again in 2016 until all vestiges of the existing corrupt corporatocracy have been eradicated through the power of the ballot box.
