Forum Post: Pest control for government

I am proud of you all. You are going to get their attention in the short run. That said, only about 10 to 15 percent of citizens show up at the polls to vote on election day. They make the choices for us. To make a difference in the long run you need to vote. I know that most elections there is only a choice between Bad and Worse but that is not an excuse. Choose the lesser of two evils and then vote them out the next time. Sooner or later we will get a decent choice...Send a statement that if you can't represent middle America, if you can only represent the far left or far right, then you are going to get kicked to the curb and lose your cushy political job. Vote the present bunch out of office and keep doing it till they get the message! It is our duty to vote and have what little say in Government that they let us still have. With today's instant communications the Electorial College is a dinosaur but we work with what we have. If you don't vote you have given up the strongest weapon you have to change things. If you don't vote then you can't really bitch can you? Vote the bastards out and keep doing it till we get Statesmen not hogs at a trough.
