Tiny Tots, Some As Young As 4, Overwhelmed By Hostility.

In the middle of thousands of protestors yelling and chanting — some kicking and screaming – CBS 2’s Emily Smith found little school kids trying to get to class. Nervous parents led them through the barriers on Wall Street. The NYPD helped funnel the children, anything to ease their fears while some protestors chanted “follow those kids!”

“These guys are terrorists, yelling at little kids,” one father said.

There are some lies in the media. Myself, I can't be sure if this happened or not, but why would OWS protestors want to follow some pre-school kids, when their parents AND the police AND the media were there?

Kinda sounds like that 'nurse' that found those babies on the cement floor during the first Iraq war, doesn't it?

Why would they be interested in following the kids? Because the kids were with their parents on Wall Street. Try reading the article.

Yes, all the reports of drug use, violence, rapes, murder and screaming at people on their way to school and to work down at OWS are all just media lies.

I see you are interested in justifying frightening small children.

Good luck with that grand PR move there.

They live in New York and want to go outside, they better be prepared for seeing frightening things at times.

If you want everything white bread and comfy and homogenized all the time, you live in the burbs, not in downtown NYC.

Bad enough midtown is disneyfied and our neighborhoods gentrified.

Do we now have to neuter eveyrthing down so the children aren't "scared"?

It's called "being a human being". Grown sane people don't run after 4 year old children while screaming. It has nothing to do with living in Disneyland or the burbs. It's called knowing what's right and what's not.

Who raised you?

I doubt they were running after the children.

I believe they were trying to get through the barricades while they were open.

And believing that children should never have to see "frightening" sights has everything to do with living in New York.

Who raised the people I see on this forum who would take food away from poor children and old people?

Dismiss the facts. This movement is being ruined because you hold on to the image of what you want it to be, not what it is. OWS refuses to clean up its act and now the majority of people are seeing this and rejecting the movement. It is what it is.

Parents trying to take their children to school also caught up in the confusion.

“For them, it’s horrible,” said one mother. “They’re afraid with all the crowds. We can’t get through, we’re very afraid now.”

Protesters say the inconvenience placed on those living and working in lower Manhattan is a small price to pay.

“It doesn’t come gift wrapped, so there are going to be some little inconveniences. But those against what is at stake is a small thing,” said protester Bill Dobbs.
