Forum Post: OWS Nothing More Than A Glorified Flash Mob.

I've been watching this movement for what now? Like 50 days? And I'm waiting for a solid message to emerge. So far we have thousands of people with thousands of agendas fighting the police in major cities instead of the actual perceived enemy: the banks. Yeah, I know 650,000 people moved their money yadayada, but that is a drop in the bucket compared to the holdings of these banks worldwide. You stuck a tiny splinter in their toe, annoying but not fatal. Case in point: does Bloomberg look worried? No, just mildly amused and slightly bored. So please, as a marketing tool why don't you all just send a clear message to the rest of the world before they see you all as nothing more than a bunch of smelly hipsters with nothing to do, nerdy hand signals and cult-like chanting. Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended: constructive criticism.

Ok, let the eggs and tomatoes fly (Pertello ducks behind giant grinning mask)

I do believe the politicians and banks are worried. They may publicly act calm, but we are used to politicians "acting" a certain way in front of the camera. Come on Pertello, we are talking about POLITICIANS here. Most could also get side jobs as actors. Of course they are not going to panic on TV or make it seem like OWS is getting to them. They are trained and taught how to give speeches and must appear calm even in the most terrible of situations. If you think loosing 650,000 customers SO FAR is no big deal to any bank, I would say you are wrong! This is not a trend any bank or business wants to see!

It has been suggested that TPTB are worried ... and these transparency / direct democary memes [OWS] are there latest attempts to retain power.

Is OWS ... spontaneous or controlled. That is the question ...

OWS is creating a class of people that are not willing to work for themselves and just want the government to had them money and a house and food. Well news flash, people have to work for a living and some people have to work even harder for a living. Thats the way the world works. BESIDES, ISN'T AMERICA THE 1% OF THE WORLD? we have the best living and the best overall country in the world.....we also run the fricken world! so welcome to the 1% you are trying to destroy, its America, we are the 1% of the world and if you do't like it feel free to leave....

no way am I part of the 1%! I am and always will be in the 99%. I want a more cohesive message and a more organized group to represent my interests. Maybe that's not possible without clear leadership. This is like watching a birth: bloody, painful but ultimately possibly a beautiful young life full of hope and promise. Maybe I just don't like seeing how the sausage is made.
