There are beautiful Communist countries - you should all go there.

No private ownership, everyone gets equal salary no matter what IQ and education people have.

Go there, here you have no chance, you will all die if you continue to do nothing. Hopefully you all get a grip on your lives soon..

For decades now the corporations and special interests have had our "representatives" bought and paid for (both on the right and the left). Don't get distracted by the symptoms - we need to address the root cause. Concentrating our efforts on getting the money out of our politics is the best way we can create an environment in which further reforms can be realized. Until we end the current system of legalized bribery (campaign donations) and paid lobbying our politicians will continue to be the LAP DOGS of the corporations and special interests. What we need first and foremost is real, loop-hole free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM!!!! If the corruption is not dealt with first, the chance of any other meaningful reforms becoming a reality is almost zero - the special interests will just use their money to buy votes and put forward bills that create loop-holes or otherwise twist the law in their favor. If we want our children to live in a country where there vote matters, we need to get the money out of our politics, otherwise they will increasingly become the 21st century version of the "landless peasant." Spread the word - End the LEGALIZED BRIBERY!!! CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM needs to be THE main goal of the protests!!!

Yes we are laughing out loud. And we don't want communism. Pay attention.

Protesting is an important right guaranteed by our constitution. If you don't like that, you should go elsewhere.

There are many patriots among OWS protesters, I've been surprised myself by the number I've met.

I love my country and my fellow Americans. That is precisely WHY I protest.

You're writing is confusing. Perhaps English isn't your native language? If you'd prefer to discuss this in another language, I also speak (read+write) Spanish, Portuguese and French. But to answer you question (the only part of your post that is coherent): Yes. I do know precisely why I am protesting: Because corporate monied interests have coopted our democracy. Also, I'll warrant I know a great deal more than you do about communism and socialism (which are two similar but distinct systems). You use these words as though they are a bad thing. Frankly, we have much to learn from democratic socialist nations in Europe, who are prospering more than we, who have a higher standard of living, where unemployment is far lower, where everyone receives appropriate education and health care. Doesn't sound so bad to me. In fact, it sounds a lot better than the corporate fascism WE currently have, that only serves to funnel resources and power up to the already wealthy and too powerful elites, who have only gained such position through the exploitation of labor and theft of the profits from such labor. When I say I love my fellow Americans, I mean the people who work for a living. The people who studied for a degree, and now can't find work. The people who broke their backs for years and then lost their jobs when corporations laid them off in the name of "recession", while posting record profits. The people who paid for years on a mortage and then lost their homes to illegal foreclosures. These are my people. I protest because they've been screwed by smug wealthy capitalist fascist pigs long enough.

I agree. Why try to change this country when there are other countries that would suit you better? I'm guessing that there are undesirable things that would make you disinclined to do so. I understand. For instance, if this country were to become anymore socialistic/communistic than it already is, I would simply take my large tax burden and go sit on a beach in Belize. Really, I would. I like scuba diving and enjoying peace all around me. I do not like working myself into the ground and paying the majority of my income in taxes. I'm simply not materialistic enough to stay here if things become much worse. By the way, our company hasn't hired a single person since Obama became president. It breaks my heart because I do see the need and would love to help, but this country's economic future is so uncertain that many can't risk it. If you think I am alone in this, you are dead wrong. Elect a moderate.
