Now THAT'S what I call taking it to the next level!

Not to mention the irony...gotta love it!

I caught that. O'Reilly's show of all places. That had to be deliberate. I got a good chuckle out of it.

did that really happen? i think it would be fantastic but i can't believe fox would allow it.

I don't watch O'Reilly but apparently so. I tried to get the clip to run from that link but couldn't (old computer, maybe a plug-in issue), but I did watch the clip further down the page that was an interview on MSNBC with the producer of the commercial, David Sauvage. The 30 second commercial apparently ran on a couple different networks Saturday night.

I'm not sure I like the direction this movement is taking :(

Looks like they finally put some of their donated money to good use... good for them!

[-] 1 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

For a grassroots movement that is woefully underfunded, that's a large chunk of change to spend on a primetime commercial. I'm thinking there might be some Wall Street sugar daddies behind this rabble!

[-] 1 points by PandoraK (1678) 13 years ago

Or perhaps there was/is some of the more secure middle class who funded it.

[-] 0 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

And perhaps it's more Soros money! Who really knows...

[-] 1 points by PandoraK (1678) 13 years ago

I do not, I merely offer an alternative assumption.

[-] 1 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

I think it's safe to say that OWS didn't raise that kind of cash for multiple ad spots on the highest rating news network by going door to door and over the net. But if you're willing to buy that...then there's this bridge just east of Zuccotti Park for sale!

[-] 1 points by PandoraK (1678) 13 years ago

Well, I could have said Martians did it.

[-] 1 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

Far more likely that the socialist elite in this country did it...just sayin'!

[-] 1 points by PandoraK (1678) 13 years ago

I am going to presume I will never know who financed these ads. But I am not going to assume a Wall Streeter did it although it is possible, and it is just as possible that thousands of people sent a dollar or five dollars and financed it.

But for fun, let's go with the Martians.

[-] 1 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

And I will pretend that it was money well spent. Wonderful!

[-] 1 points by PandoraK (1678) 13 years ago

If nothing else the irony was priceless.

[-] 1 points by DudleyE (94) 13 years ago

Not as pricelessly ironic as a bunch of upper class college kids railing against corporations on their iPhones, connected by AT&T, platformed with Microsoft inspired operating systems, while drinking their Starbucks in a Coleman tent!

Anyone else thinking "too late?"

The news and images of riots, drugs, rape and death will not be erased by paying actors to say something scripted.
