This content is user submitted and not an official statement

  1. Job bill did not pass yesterday.

  2. Free trade bill being signed by president today.

Both events are US job killers. I am ex OWS supporter. The reasons it happened because wall street do not make rules, Washington DC does. I did not see much action from OWS or Unions. You can see all my post I want OWS independent and action oriented. You have momentum but no direction.

If this continue more people will leave you. Intent of OWS was good bit now it is clueless.

I was part of ODC. There were handful Protesters and we had to reduce our daily march to 2 days our week. It is a joke here.

Apparently you thought this would be easy. Sit in the park for a couple weeks and government would instantly bow to our demands. Thank you for the help but apparently you lacked the determination that is needed to see this thing through.

Yes we could have made some difference all these thousands of Protester sitting in Nyc would have come to DC and told law makers if you do not act we are going to make it issue in election. Law makers do not like losing elections.

Tea party demonstrated most of the time in front of capitol. They did achieve results in elections. They got the house. We at OWS have no agenda.

Actually the protestors are much more visible where they are. There are protests all the time in DC. They are like the homeless people you pass by every day. Congress ignores them just fine and the media would be sure not to cover any occupation there meaning the rest of America would never hear about it. They tried to ignore protestors in NYC for the first couple of weeks but word got out because they were highly visible. I believe you are right though. It is time to start occupying DC as well as Wall Street. They know we are here to stay and anyone up for reelection next year is looking for a quick and peaceful resolution to this thing ASAP. We've got our foot in the door and we can succeed if we just keep pushing. But it's not going to be easy and I am sure they are going to try to wait us out through the winter months.

Yes...Wall Street does not make the rules....but they break the rules i.e. the law at every turn. SEC files criminal charges almost every day against Wall Street types. To imagine that Wall Street is NOT the problem is like saying, since we have laws in place, there will be no crime...and that's just silly. I feel like the government and Wall Street are culpable.

However, the "failures" that you mentioned are valid. Although, I am not sure if they solve anything in the long run. The problem of unfettered greed and corruption are still rampant.
