I speak for myself only, of course, but I think the people in this movement (as opposed to the trolls here who will immediately mimic people in this movement below) are not against a genuinely free market, nor against the accumulation of wealth, within reason. I think that must be said.

We are opposed to the aggrigation of billions of dollars in the hads of a few, who use that money to corrupt the body politic, and stand between the people and a life of liberty, and the persuit of happiness.

The constitution begins, "We the People," not "we the corporations," or" we the plutocrats", nor even just "me," but "We the People!"

You are correct. We do not oppose free markets. We do not oppose the rich or the aspiring to be rich. We do not oppose corporations. We oppose corruption. We oppose white-collar criminals at the highest echelons of power. We oppose the poisoning of our people and planet. We oppose mass murder.

You better believe it! I differ with you about coroporations, because I believe the corporate charter was created to prevent business from being held accountable to the citizens at large. But I agree, in esscence, completely.

Seems right enough.

There are factions within OWS who oppose the free market (probably and hopefully in the sense that they oppose its hegemonic status as only alternative), but OWS in general seem to agree on the need of weeding out the corruption of plutocrats on all levels of society (economy, politics, legislation, etc i.e. primarily in the administration of society).

OWS stands for the real freedom of all kinds but not for a fake free market you see these days.

I don't know about this. Here in Philly they sure seem anti free market:
