I'm proposing that OWS launch the credit union of the movement which would allow OWS supporters to transfer their money out of the banks, and into a financial institution of the movement. This would also create jobs for us, and support the effort to starve the banking beast. As amazing as our actions are, it's been said that nothing we are doing at this point is impacting the 1% and their system. Would transferring our monies out of their banks into the movement's CU impact the banking establishment..I think so.
My one concern is at some point they may plant their agent provacateurs, create some violence, label OWS a terrorist organization and seize our funds. There is probably a way around that though by not labeling it as OWS credit union ? What do you think about this proposal.
I would love to see some recommendations of reputable credit unions. Perhaps there is conversation and negotiations that can be done with OWS for people to begin opening accounts.
Yeah, it would be concentrating our vulnerabilities in a realm where the 1% are in firm control.
What if there someone made a list of institutions at odds with OWS and a list of credit unions that are endorsed? I think a boycott of certain banks would be powerful at this point in time.
Yes, sounds good. I know they have a lot on the agenda though.
