Current news from interoccupy.

http://interoccupy.net/blog/the-people-v-wells-fargo-our-story/

Foreclose the banks!!

(thanks for the bump)

[-] 4 points by Marlow (1141) 11 years ago

Closing the 'TEN' .. 10 banks that stole the Economy.. sent the money to personal off shore accounts.. then came crying to their FED Reserve for money they Lost in a Conspiracy THEY perpetrated to be Taken From the VEry People they Stole Money from in the first place.. to Bail them out..

See the Trend here?

CREDIT Unions are now the ONLY forms of Banking we, who were robbed at Political Gun Point, should be using. Or.. begin Town Banks owned by the residents.. ( that's how savings and loans began, which was a great idea.. until.. Jeb and his Brother Neil Bush Brought down the System using Graft as their compass . )

... Best to you.. and thanks for the sentiments

Cant sue the SEC.. They are a department of our Govt. we pay their salaries

[-] 4 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

I believe we ARE suing them and other govt agencies. Not for money but in order to get them to implement strong regulations against banks.

[-] 2 points by Marlow (1141) 11 years ago

Are u sure those arent called 'Bills'?

[-] 4 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

The regulations in question are in Laws (that were in Bills) and OccupytheSEC has filed a lawsuit.

It IS happening!

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/03/01/occupy-the-sec-files-lawsuit-against-wall-street-regulators-for-failure-to-implement-the-law/

[-] 2 points by Marlow (1141) 11 years ago

Wonderful! .. Glass Steagall, i hope.. Regulating the Banks so that they can no longer risk our money ( not theirs)... in the Market...

.. Banks have no business running the Exchanges!

[-] 3 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Break em up! Move our money, & prosecute.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Cant sue the SEC.

I'm not so sure about that.

[-] 2 points by Marlow (1141) 11 years ago

Thank you for the informed topic post.. Keeping this on Top for a while, as it should be...

[-] 3 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Not many share your opinion apparently.

Thank you.

it's important for this forum to include real occupy events/actions on the ground. Obviously, many forum users are not near given actions but it can encourage discussion on an issue occupy cares about, we might inspire someone to organize similar actions in their own area, and we can at least inform ALL of our continued activity and success.

We're not dead yet.!

Strategic Action Labs: Mapping & Scouting

33 West 14th Street

Welcome to the Spring Strategic Action LABS. Below are a set of workshops aimed to help us deepen our analysis and understanding of how the 1% works while building skills to organize for justice and global liberation. Mapping & Scouting Workshop: How do you find the people you want to engage and make it easy for us and many others to access? Mapping can take many forms – come and explore. Scouting: Now that we know where they are, Lets Go Look Around and see what we can and share ideas about what we have learned is possible.

Occupy reminds you about tax day actions

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Occupy recommends you blow off some steam

Just in time for Tax Day, a new video game has launched that let's you blast corporate Tax Evaders! Play it now at http://www.taxevaders.net/.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Occupy welcomes you to enjoy this:

If you’re here in NYC, check out an exhibit of Molly Crabapple's 'Shell Game' Paintings. Her canvases tackle global turmoil in 2011, including the rise of Occupy Wall Street, Anonymous hackers, the health insurance crisis, the Tunisian Revolution, protests in Greece, and the Spanish M15 movement.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Occupies suggests you analyze this.

A recent issue of The Sociological Quarterly includes a special section on Occupy Wall Street. A symposium on the subject asked contributors to focus on the following in relation to OWS: the role of new social media, organizational sustainability, and the broader question of “what has been started and where is it going?”

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Occupy encourages you to read this new book:

The Democracy Project: a History, a Crisis, a Movement

At The Guardian, a thoughtful review of David Graeber’s new book, The Democracy Project: a History, a Crisis, a Movement, finds the reviewer galvanized by Graeber’s assessment of the successes of the OWS movement. “Liberals...tend to sit back and wait for things to happen. Graeber is right about this and reading The Democracy Project, I felt the sting of his critique. Like many people, years of inconclusive crisis politics have left me feeling jaded and apathetic. Despite its faults, this book woke me up.”
