Forum Post: OPPRESSION… a complex emotion, a combination of both Love and Hate. And like love and hate this emotion will NEVER be suppressed by propaganda, trickery or the blow of a baton. The only salve for those suffering the pangs of oppression, JUSTICE!

Justice has many faces and can come in a dark alley. Oppressors should never travel in dark alleys.

I think a more lasting form of justice is called for, violence is only a temporary band-aid. Reform needs to happen that makes this type of economic oppression much more difficult to sustain.

It's not sustainable, its about to crumble.

Like any pyramid (scheme), once the base is crumbling the entire structure will fall… The weight bearing bricks on the bottom are the first to go… the few bricks on the very top… they have the furthest to fall, and hit the ground the hardest. But they sure as hell will fall, despite the fact that they may discount the support given them by the thousands of bricks bellow, disproportionately supporting their weight.

Justice is an inevitability regardless of the means. Lasting justice and reform, are only available to those willing to carry out the solemn task of implementing justice. A seldom pleasant duty.

I won't dispute the countless examples throughout history, or your point. I will only hope that this OWS situation follows the very few historic examples of change, following a non-violent approach. In either case (violent or non-violent), you are right "Lasting justice and reform, are only available to those willing to carry out the solemn task of implementing justice."

Although, a non-violent approach requires much more discipline, restraint and love… A non-violent approach does leave your humanity intact and creates a far stronger moral foundation for future generation to build upon.

When Capital Crime is allowed to flourish it will propagate exponentially. Non-Violent Protesting unifies the people, thus freeing the hands of justice to do her dirty job.

I think true justice is as fresh and cleansing as a bright sunny day, nothing dirty about it.

Agreed. Her arrival is impending and I think she's pissed. Reform can't be far behind.
