Guys, I'm both an armed libertarian and a native warrior and here is what I have to say regarding violence:
I can't even get close to Wall Street because one of our values is we are never unarmed. We wear either guns or blades and this makes us outlaws in Manhattan, the place of our former brothers the Manhattan people. Yup, there were a native people of Manhattan Island and they were called the Manhattans. But if one of us even steps foot there, we will be arrested on sight.
No Oyate or Llennape warrior could maintain a non-violent posture if we saw helpless women attacked with mace. Ethically and morally we would have been obliged to attack. And we don't attack to "make a point", we attack to render threats neutral. Which if you think about is getting into it with cops, what we have is a gun battle and all kinds of bystanders are gonna get all hurt and that is so not what we are down for.
Considering the above, we want to tell you kids that you are walking into a fight and don't complain if you get beat up. For now we carry the battle to them. If they start following us home and taking the battle to our doorsteps you are gonna hear something you have never heard before. You will hear gunfire. And that won't be a good thing, that will be a bad thing.
Children, please use all of your wisdom and your tollerance and forgiveness and understanding in this because we will protect you if necessary. Don't let it get neccessary. Because if we enter this fray, all it means is suffering. You are the 99%. We are 3 MILLION RIFLES.
And let us treat with one another with acceptance and love because we all got kids and I'll tell you now, our kids are no less important than yours.
It's a horrible consideration and one that alienates us from human kind but,
But we are raised to a certain standard and part of it is consideration for you guys. So there is a point. Part of the obligation of my phratry is that we never go without 3 things: a blade, the ability to make fire and the ability to defend our selves and our people.
That's heinous because we have stores of food and medical equipment and we can't even get close to you now. In a sense you guys have to get closer to us.
Holy shit. That's both awesome and scary.
Thank you. But I sincerely hope we can all advance to an age where violence will not be neccessary in order to do that which is right by all.
Thank you sir.
I'm glad someone has our backs.
4- I think the public police need to be recording their actions on video and make those publicly available
5- homes work to improve the lives of their decedents
3 million rifles where did you get that number Chief? I am seriously curious!
We are too and 300 million is being conservative. Gun sales went through the roof when Obama was elected and they weren't buying peashooters either: all the really nasty guns and ammo, like the "hurt your ass" weapons jut flew off the shelves. And we don't even know who these people are. I hope they are getting competent instruction on how NOT to use them because we are primed for one hell of a fight if people fly off the handle.
I misunderstood your message! Tactical/CCW instructor myself and I would agree to that comment. But I withdrew my support for these people when I saw the support going to them from MoveOn.org and other involved in the fight to quash the 2nd Amendment. Best advice I can offer is simply to watch from the background, if they pull something similar to Syria or Egypt it will be a free for all on the people till the feds get a stranglehold. And your correct about them never hearing a round, 99.9% of these protesters including almost all of the (supposed) combat vets have never been fired on. I would definitely defend them and their freedoms, but not if they fire first or If I am the only one in line. Have you watched the videos? These people would absolutely never survive an armed engagement.
1 % of the US population 312,507,000,
I should have been a tad more precise. The correct number would be closer to 50,000, given a multitude of variables. And that is on the understanding of support for the OWS movement, which at this moment is not very impressive.
GUN-FIXATION is a sickness of the American soul. I know of no other nation on the face of this earth as sick as ours in that respect. We will be VERY lucky indeed if we do not end up destroying ourselves to the last man, woman and child...
I respect you as a veteran activist and native warrior.... But I feel that your highly ambiguous message on violence is OUTDATED and would in fact be extremely dangerous to the very survival of this nation.
Respectfully, have you heard of Martin Luther King's methods? Non-violence is NOT the path of the cowardly and the weak, it is the path of the strong and the brave.
And on a final note : it's easy to start shooting. The hard part is stopping - especially when there are an estimated 270 million firearms in the whole of America.
