Here's what the newly revived front page has for comments:

-- #NoNATO So Far: Thousands Protest War and Austerity -- 5 comments
With Chicago going off like a string of firecrackers, it looks like OWS NYC online is moribund if not deceased.
Thing is, this site was knocked offline during the most of the anti-NATO protests. People who would have posted links to video had no access. New Yorkers in Chicago had no means to use this site to help coordinate their efforts.
Worst of all, OWS NYC does nothing for security for this site. That's part of the "leaderless" rhetoric you hear. Anyway, the effects of this non-policy no-work approach should be fairly obvious.
Twitter is the tool of choice. It works. Thing is, this site could be a solid resource. 140 characters and the other limitations -- not always enough.
One simple action: change the root password and cut access to no more than three Administrators. If the root password is misused after that, start swapping out Administrators till you get a secure management team.
Change root password weekly.
It's not rocket science....
there was some vidio of Chicago badge number 9227 I still remember guy who pushed and "ran", but the site has become unfriendly to those that belive time for action has come and we can no longer allow the 1% to keep us divided from others who support getting money out of politics, in a AZ it's easy too because those that oppose call themselves Republicans and those that support call themselves Democrates, but the founders think we can keep waiting and talking about stuff for a bit.
Thing is, to win it has to be Nonviolent Direct Action.
The Palestinians go with throwing rocks and letting IDF set the parameters for the set pieces on the West Bank. The Palestinians never get a damn thing to go their way.
Traditional Gandhi/King nonviolence is much, much harder to carry out.
But that is how you win.
The "time" for adopting Palestinian tactics is never.
Gandhi and King both had something they wanted, watched hours of the Chicago and didn't really hear a message, I thought it was about the concentration of wealth, but it seems we are unwilling to call out those that protect wealth and it's power, so we're left standing with little by way of message.
Avoid the shill postings and a lot of it is at this site.
Avoiding shills........ that is the problem.
The Facebook pages are working out better. Stronger moderation.
I can cut through the weeds, but there still needs to be some flowers somewhere, there was a posting this AM about wealth from the site it looked like but I can't find it now, odd.
The Facebook page for Occupy Nonviolence collects useful material.
You will also see the single-minded shill postings. Rightie sabotage is rarely subtle. These toads will deny that the sun comes up in the morning.
