While I fully support what you are doing, I wonder if your energy would be better spent gathering signatures and putting statewide initiatives on the ballot to create a Bank of the State of California. With more than 38 million people, California is so big that it would take out the entire organism.

Just something to think about. You have to gather 2.2 million signatures in a period of less than 120 days, in order to qualify on the California ballot.

You can also create a Bank of the State in Massachusetts. Massachusetts also has the initiative process. Here is a website with links to information http://webtech.tstc.edu/students/southr/IMED2315/2315final/Voter%20Rights/index.html. The site isn't functional, so don't try to send a message. Additionally the forums are hosted on Yahoo, who is censoring all outbound correspondence with Occupy Wall Street. Take a look at the links in the upper right hand corner http://webtech.tstc.edu/students/southr/IMED2315/2315final/Voter%20Rights/index.html

DO IT. Seriously; I'm from NY and living in MA, so I don't know if I'd be eligible to sign it. That said, if I could sign I would. Frankly, we should do that with campaign finance and lobbying reform too.

Don't waste your breath with campaign lobbying and finance reform. You need to take out the parasite. If you fix banking and energy, you won't have to worry about campaign finance reform.

I like it but I'm biased since I live here. California has an extremely badly run government, was hit hard by the mortgage crisis, and has warm weather! California represents 14% of the GDP as well as a very liberal populous and represents most of the internet industry - google yahoo apple oracle twitter facebook all reside here.

Yes California has very badly run government, but the current banking system is what brought about much of the problem. With the bank of the state, property values would diminish significantly, and the cost of living would go down. The current banking system breeds government corruption.
The following website will give you some pointers on how to setup a bank of the state in your city, county, or state. But keep in mind that the forums are hosted on Yahoo, who is censoring all mail related to Occupy Wall Street. For that reason the forums should be replaced with occupy Wall Street Forums. Additionally the actual form on this page was for a class that I took and it isn't functional. However, I am thinking about moving the site to a different website, and then fix it up so it is functional.
