Thank you.
When Tom Morello sang This Land is Your Land at Foley Square, that was super. I took a break from handing out S17 posters to join in the festiviities. The abbreviated below link does not do it justice, but it does give you and idea.

The drums together with the guy playing the sax was great.
And it accomplished?
I think that the standard rationalization is that it's part of the effort to "educate" people (about lower Manhattan noise ordinances) and to "raise awareness" (of how irritating hippies with bongo drums are).
And there it is. But soon there will be more of this effete, limp dick bullshit for people to laugh at. Or ignore.
Hard to ignore them when they're banging on bongo drums (or pots and pans) at night outside of your home. Note that it's dark in the video. And people live in that area.
They don't care about residents in the area anymore than they care about preventing people from getting to their jobs. Most of them are just a continuation of the self- absorbed, ego driven asshole hippies from the 60's. The kind of people that think the Weather Underground were REAL revolutionaries.
I think that the theory is that anybody who lives in lower Manhattan is automatically the enemy, simply for being able to afford to live in lower Manhattan.
bloomberg is an idiot for allowing this crap to go on this long.
