I attend a top Ivy and this has been going viral via facebook - "we are the 1%" t-shirts.

I don't understand how my peers at this school can support this. A friend in NY said that there is a fairly strong anti-OWS movement at top schools in the city as well. For the students out there, is this just limited to the northeast?

They are mostly TRUST FUND BABIES... Have to keep the wealth in the family! FYI Obamas' 21012 Re-election Finance Director is the son of Bank Of Americas former CEO Chad Gifford, one of those responsible for the economic crisis... Keeping it all in the Family

To quote Thoreau: "Shall I not have intelligence with the earth? Am I not partly leaves and vegetable mould myself?"

The 99% and the 1% must come to understand one another. They must be made to understand that they too, are part of the shared system we have all created. Ultimately, there must be a balance maintained. There will always be a 1%, and there will always be a 99%. The two must have civilized relations if we are to work out our problems as a nation. Each must have a role to play in these times of change.

They are a small contained SCARED group. There is not much damage they can do with their little t-shirts chug-a-lugging at their frat house parties sucking off of mommy and daddy's millions. A bunch of Ivy league selfish Brats. They have no idea how to WORK and PAY for their Own tuition, room and board.

Because it is easier for people to hate.

That, or they have a (crude) sense of humor.
