Though I support OWS, all the "problems" we complain about, and all the "brave" actions we take just seem trivial in comparison to the events in Syria.

Watch the latest Frontline episode shot undercover in Syria at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/syria-undercover/

We can and will make America better, but let's never forget how fortunate we are to live here !

Of course the situation in Syria is dramatic! But that is NOT a valid excuse to trivialize the grave problems that we are facing right here in America!

I do NOT find "TRIVIAL" that nearly 50 million Americans live in POVERTY. Do you know how many million children go to bed hungry in this country???

You can't even acknowledge for one minute that maybe some others are worse off than you? Do you know how many people are starving to DEATH in Africa ?

I specifically said I support OWS and think we CAN make America better, but you can't even take a moment to express thanks for what you have and express support for those fighting for their LIVES and not just the right to have more gadgets.

I am NOT for a second trivializing the situation in Syria, in fact I said it was "dramatic". YOU are the one doing the trivializing here. In fact, what you say about this fight being about "the right to have more gadgets" is an INSULT to the nearly 50 million Americans who live in POVERTY. Do you KNOW how it feels to go to bed hungry?

As for myself personally, YES I DO feel grateful for what I have and I share generously through a great number of charitable and humanitarian organizations. Solidarity with the poor and the oppressed all over the world has always been one of my priorities. And guess what? I don't care for gadgets at all! But if you want to continue ranting without knowing a damn thing about me, rant on, "Rico", rant on!

I'm on dial-up. But I agree. Protesting in the face of overwhelming military response is courageous.

In Tibet the nuns have been setting themselves on fire.

Free Syria I say.

Free Tibet.

It's remarkable. It's like we're able to watch the American Revolution first hand on video ! Soooo much courage and bravery.
