Occupy Salt Lake City started last Thursday and we are in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement. I was hoping that people could discuss what the format is for things such as the general assemblies, committees, workshops, and such so that we can learn from things that you have already overcome in your group so that we can learn from them and not have to deal with unnecessary problems.
As of right now we are dealing with how to make General Assemblies not turn into a ramble of ideas and such. How do you work with two General Assemblies, do both meetings vote on things and what happens if one meeting overturns the other's decision. Which Committees are really helpful? How do you get people who are joining into the movement later than others to be able to participate in decisions without having people isolate them for not knowing entirely what's going on? Any other suggestions and comments are much appreciated.
