Just read about the action initiated by city of Oakland. I wrote an email (text below) to the mayors office, and I hope everyone will also do so...
Please reassess the decisions that led to your unwarranted efforts to suppress the American voice. As a citizen of the United States, I strongly protest your actions against the occupy movement. The 1st Amendment of the Constitution guarantees the people the right to freely assemble in peace. The 14th amendment prohibits the states from enacting laws that inhibit our constitutionally protected freedoms. Your actions are not only unconstitutional, they are despicable. Your strong arm tactics are reminiscent of a fascist police state action. I sincerely hope you soon join the ranks of the unemployed.
