"Tennessee state troopers for the second straight night arrested Wall Street protesters for defying a new nighttime curfew imposed by Republican Gov. Bill Haslam in an effort to disband an encampment near the state Capitol.
And for a second time, a Nashville night judge dismissed arrest warrants of the arrested protesters.
The Tennessean newspaper reports that Magistrate Tom Nelson told troopers delivering the protesters to jail that he could "find no authority anywhere for anyone to authorize a curfew anywhere on Legislative Plaza.""

The ACLU has stepped in and it looks like the movement will be expanding perhaps to other areas of Nashville as well!
Front page of the site.............. all other areas should hope for such action.
look people.....................
Suit has been filed.... this is news, folks.
Do notice the ACLU has filed suit on behalf of the protestors that have been arrested and their seized property.
Tn has some very unconstitutional seizure laws.

SPREAD THE WORD! This is a victory, regardless of it's magnitude.
Hello, this is a good thing in light of the tyranny happening elsewhere.
A precedent for all the Occupy Movements to see, tout and rejoice in. Legislative Plaza now belongs, uncontested, to The People!
I remember the day after the arrests, I saw the curfew signs. I thought there was no way that would be enforced. I heard the troopers also confiscated most of the materials used by the protesters, did they take the tents and personal property too?
I haven't seen the suit filed. I will be meeting with the ACLU people very soon and will find out then. I do know that personal property was seized and thus far not returned..... which in TN, constitutes theft.
Three cheers for the citizens of Nashville! I've been to legislative plaza a few times, and was even present for the Oct. 6 GA on my lunch break, but i've not been able to be around as much as i'd like. Keep it up, you're an excellent example.
