All this outpouring of demonstrators is a wonderful site to see, but the only lasting result must come from political action. If we want to make real lasting changes, OWS must show power to Washington. OWS must prove to lawmakers that the only way to keep their jobs next year is to pass legislation that takes big corporate money out of the equation.

OWS MUST keep putting pressure around the country, but create action in Congress!

Pass HR 1148 "The Stock Act"

This bill ends the practice of congressmen LEGALLY conducting insider stock trading. It's a great place to start,

"Pass legislation that takes big corporate money out of the equation."

Yes! This is what the actual 99% want; get money OUT of the political process. It is hopelessly incompatible with and corrosive to democracy.

Unfortunately, most of the noise here is wasted on idiotic leftist ideology, people pretending it's 1968, divisive identity politics, and a steady stream of limousine liberals (can somebody PLEASE send Chris Hedges to one of his vacation homes for a month or so?).

OWS must become Constitutional. Read it, study it, know it.

Bring back the 13th Amendment and duly note the 16th has never been legally ratified.
