We at OWS are expanding, we need brave men and women to help spread our cause beyond the borders of the US. Therefore, in an effort to solve many problems in one fell swoop, we request that all of you with us and those of you thinking of joining us that are in the US illegally, please volunteer your time and bodies to represent us in Mexico. OCCUPY MEXICO!!!!! OLAY!!!!!
I own the domain name occupyamericas.org and am interested in developing it. I'm looking for people to help provide content across the Americas.
Write up a thread in the main forum post section, and describe what you have in mind. Your endeavor could easily get lost on this thread.
Nativist scapegoating douchebaggery.
It's "Olé" by the way.
immigration? really? why is people discussing immigration and at the same time we call this a GLOBAL revolution? Let's face it, Mexicans feed north Americans... how? they work the lands in their own country and ours, they grow our crops and theirs and they are part of that 99% that's being robbed of their dignity from the big corporations. So please people, don't call it GLOBAL revolution if you don't mean it. Mexicans are our brothers too
The Mexican people want to stay in there own country. They come here because they want a better life. At one time Mexico was a prosperous country. If we fix things all over the world, the Mexican people will stay in theircountry because they love their country. They are proud people.
And if in the future Mexicans want to relocate here, then they will because they want to me a US citizen. It's a win/win for everyone. Immigration is a beautiful thing when done naturally.
If any country needs to protest, it's Mexico. Can you imagine living in a country 40 years after the failed policies of Bush? That's what the Mexicans have been doing. They had a failure of a president four decades ago and have never recovered.
Come on Mexico. Take your country back.
We're one step ahead already ;) Tijuana, borderline city with the US, is already planning their occupation to begin October 15th. How do I know? It's my hometown, I'm Mexican :) Though I think it would cause much more impact if the movement also occupied the Federal District, our version of the District of Columbia, I remember reading something about the occupation brewing up in there too, but I couldn't be real sure.
Sign me up! Leaving for Yucatan November 1st!
We should start by a webpage in spanish don't you think?
i can translate whatever you need.... just send it my way bro, and ill make sure its legit send it back, if you please anizato@gmail.com is my email peace
I think this is incredibly important. All immigration issues aside, this should be a global movement. People all around the world are suffering and starving to death as a result of the 1%. Mexico included, and all this drug war you could tie to the 1% as well. Irregardless this movement is nonviolent and peaceful "illegals" are part of the 1%, and even more important they are just people trying to better their lives like yourselves with children and families and dreams. (and if you wanna know how I feel about immigration issues and Mexico and the occupy movement let me know).
This will end badly. Let's just focus on places where the police are not allowed to shoot us?
We started with Honduras. Lets meet half way!

Viva La ..... oh whatever
no you see, get the illegals to go to mexico = more jobs for us. it solves two problems so it's genius.
Honestly, and I am for open borders because think human movement is a right, if the Mexican immigrants, for example, moved back to Mexico, Mexico's drug cartels and dictatorship would not last for long.
The sad truth is that those who could have the most impact on Mexican society, and are coragous enough to move to a foreign country that can be openly hostile at times to support their family are exactly the people who the Mexican cartels and drug lords want out of Mexico most.
I don't believe we should force our brothersand sisters back into a assist war zone. These people are refugees of the global banking cartel system. But if we can empower them to take backteir government, then maybe we can have an honest discussion about open boarder policy and immigration in this country.
Remember, you would not leave your homeland, typically, unless you were running from something or forced out.
