Hello, we are a new faction of occupation. Your neighbors on The Island fighting the 1%'s control over our way of life. Long Island is NOT all rich people with yachts and nice houses. They live on the tip of the Island, as far from "the rest" of us as possible.
Please take a few minutes to check out out these sites and get to know us as we grow, http://occupylongisland.org/ http://occupylongisland.wordpress.com/ http://occupyli.tumblr.com/
Right now we are working on getting good turn out on meetings and events, since most towns are very spread out and a lot of driving and time is necessary for success. I know many of our group have showed support in Zuccotti Park and have been active in politics for quite some time. Looking for any suggestions on organization or anything worthwhile.
Occupy the World!

Where exactly is Long Island?
It is south east of New York City. An island shaped like a fish divided into two sections- Suffolk and Nassau.
Will you occupying the Hamptons or is the wrong season for that?
It's sort of the wrong season. We can start talking to people who work out there and are unhappy with taxes and the class-based system that they live with. Then, come summer, a plan of action would be taking a bus and picketing the places with the worst approval ratings of the community and their workers.
Yes , you do that, and then occupy hollywood and beverly hills.
A lot of people from all over the country come to vacation here, so we would probably be seeing some media and movie people.
