I don't think we have a dozen occupiers in my small town of 40,000, but I have been hearing we have a lot of support among people who have to work for a living and can't carry a sign. Trust me, you have millions of supporters, I believe tens of millions.
Same here, small town, small camp. We have a community who we can actually get to hear our message. If violence like Oakland doesn't change their mood the other way.
We have to be loud and pro-active, but if a camera catches anything violent by anyone in the streets it would be really bad PR.
It's not hard to google 'non-violent protesting'... or Ghandi, or Martin Luther King, or even Malcomb X.
I think the thing missing from our protests are families with young children.
I would call for that. Family protest day...How about the Sunday before Thanksgiving?
I like that. we'll do it here.
Well if it's the 99%, then it's hundreds of millions
