Occupying foreclosed houses and supporting people fighting eviction from their homes by the banks is the logical next step for Occupy. If we take over 100 bank-heisted houses all over Portland, all at once, we force the police to spread out their resources and exhaust themselves. And whenever they throw us out of one, we just occupy another--or two--or ten--or 100...
Also, these occupations need to be absolutely respectful of the buildings--no graffiti, trash, abuse of any kind--we want to claim these buildings for human use, not destroy them. The authorities count on us allowing our anger over their wholesale pillaging of our nation to make us stupid. We need to frustrate them and maintain public support by being scrupulous in our behavior. Remember the 1% are the criminals here, not us, so let's stay on the high ground.
Part of the point is the fact that the bank-stolen homes quickly fall apart when left empty over time--wasting the resource that should be used. Perhaps this is the oligarchy's way of getting rid of 'excess' housing so they can start building the next bubble already.
Hurray for everyone maintaining the momentum! You are the 99%! Down with the kleptocracy (government by thieves)!
Mmmmm, no heat, no water and crapping in McDonalds bags, sounds like a plan!
