Forum Post: Occupy Castle Clinton for Camping - Nearest National Park to Zuccotti - 0.6 miles away

Until Liberty Square can be legally occupied with camping gear, why not utilize Castle Clinton Monument for camping. It is only 0.6 miles away from Zuccotti Park, it is on federal land (which will force Obama to either support or oppose the movement) and it has several amenities needed by the protestors. Obviously, there is precedent for the national parks limiting first amendment rights, however there is a special permitting process that could be explored.
