Forum Post: Occupy Atlanta now wants to re-rename park after Clarence Thomas?

I think the Atlanta group is in need of some new leadership. After first diluting the message by wanting to rename Atlanta's Woodruff Park after executed prisoner Troy Davis, some of them are now asking to rename the same park after, of all people, Clarence Thomas?:

They are wildly disorganized and the movement is not getting any traction in Atlanta.

Given their initial show of hands in favor, and the almost invisibility of the blocking group, I think their assembly was manipulated.

The post you linked indicates more of the same. However, every forum has all kinds of opinions. Hope wiser heads prevail in Atlanta.

Maybe more people will join their forum to promote #OWS's original message: We demand the right of peaceful assembly in public space to protest the growing wealth gap. This broad umbrella protects the life force of #OWS.
