I strongly recommened that all those serious about this movement over the long haul become educated in psychology. Human society is simply a macrocosm of human disfunction on the personal level. You cannot heal the one without healing the other, and I think we should all see this movement as an effort to heal society

I agree totally with this. I think a course in psychology for anyone and everyone is necessary to know yourself. If this movement is about a growing awareness it is a necessity to be educated in psych and many other subjects as well.

Another important one is Truth. How do we know it? How do we find it? How do we know if something told to us is true?

Yes, you hit the bulls-eye !!!!! Excellent thread !!!

Thanks, I feel that this is really important, especially understanding about narcicistic and anti-social personality disorder. There are people who, sadly, simply do not have the capacity to empathise. They are with us, and responsible for many of the problems in both families, and society. It could be said that American society actually encourages these abberations.

I think your right with this. If we don't face reality, it will face us!

Awareness is crucial to this movement, we have to educate and encourage each other to strive for the right kind of change.

Yes, psychology is still a realatively new field, and I think provides many answers that humanity never had before. There has been a lot of thinking in recent years that really illuminates what has been going wrong, mentally, and spiritually. We must learn and take advantage of ot:)

Agreed. The advantage psych has over the previous ways we dealt with these social ills is immense. We truly live in a time when we can know all things about anything we want. Through technology we've all been wired. I just don't think we realize what exactly that means yet. This movement now may be the beginning of this new awareness.

We need all the tools possible to obtain our true freedom !!!

Agreed also. All that is required now is the desire for knowledge, and click, there it is - as long as people can distingush between reliable sources and unreiable.

That's the key. We have be truth seekers who understand what it is.

Now just to get everybody else up speed. That's where we have to be creative and get people interested in finding these truths. The world is missing this critical thinking horribly. Ignorance is not bliss.

No, ignorance is not bliss. I am reminded of Dickens' " A Christmas Carroll." The three horrors revealed by the ghost . . . One was ignorance, another want. I have forgotton the third.
