"I pledge to do everything that I can to educate myself in the mechanisms of government, banking, and law, and understand the arguments for and against the system being this way or that. In particular, I will make an effort to understand views I disagree with, and empathize with those who are alien to me. I will take care not to underestimate the complexity and gravity of these matters. I will seek to use what I learn for the betterment of this country and its people, and the world as a whole. I will treat my education in these matters as an ongoing, lifelong process, because I understand that society will not evolve if I as an individual stop evolving."
I, the poster, pledge to do these things. Pass it on (or suggest a better pledge!)
Thanks, Lifestream! I think I've basically been doing it, but it can't hurt to re-iterate my commitment to doing so. If you say you have done all of that in the past tense and then state your view, you've missed the point because you must never stop learning, never become so attached to a point of view that you no longer hear others. Opinions are great, but don't let them stop you from learning!
And having done all that, End The Fed.
It's not my debt, and I'm not paying it!
Thats why we are here
I, Lifestream, pledge to do these things. (Good idea mate!)
