The possibility of yet another U.S. war became more real recently, when the Obama administration sharply confronted both China and Iran.
The author claims that Obama’s policies have the potential to be far more devastating than Bush’s, with the real possibility of creating a wider, regional war:
We can not have a war with anyone if we refuse to fight.
Just for the record, that article you link is from Feb. 1, 2010. Almost two years old. Perhaps your title should read 'threatened.'
Thanks, I think I remember seeing that, but forgot.
If bush and the boys are so free of fault , I would dare them to leave the country.
Where are the deficit hawks when you need them?
crap talker here one and all
If he does that he will have to fight against those countries and the American people at the same time.

Keep an eye on AFRICOM, that's where I see the greatest potential for direct conflict with China. We're militarizing the continent while the Chinese are investing more in infrastructure. Also, I was traveling in Grenada and my guide pointed to their new cricket stadium, also doubles as an arts/entertainment complex. He told me it was a gift from China, they shipped over workers and materials and voila. The U.S. is not so popular in Grenada, given our ugly record there.
Unfortunately, constructive Chinese investment is being driven out by US militarization.
I still believe the Chinese have the upper hand... and, how do we attempt to solve every global threat to our interests?
Personally, I'm not worried about what the Chinese are doing, I think we should join in with them in developing the infrastructure of Africa.
When "our interests" our spoken of in the media, I don't think it is the interests of the 99% that they are speaking about.
I could not agree with you more.
In that case, you will probably like the following video:

Thank you for this.
Glad you like it, there are lots of interesting articles and videos at that site.
OWS is trying hard to wake people up to the fact that the problem is not the GOP, its the system itself.
Democrats are every bit as much bought-out corporate Imperialists as Republicans are.
A little out of character for Obama, don't ya think?
Do you think so? Or is that sarcasm?
Nope, I really think so.
But what about the war he has gotten us into recently in Libya?
Unfortunately, I believe Obama works for Wall Street, that's who financed his campaign, and those people are ruthless.
Libya and Africa are also both out of character. Remember that Wall Street is but a tool of the money mongers. Obama works for the money mongers.
It's all about arms sales. There are only a handful of companies that can make hi-tech weaponry, and if you're not USA, China, Russia, UK, France - you need to buy your weapons from somewhere. I'm not talking about rifles and bullets. So countries are either aligned with USA/UK/France when it comes to getting weaponized, or they are with Russia/China. The reason we hate Iran is not because they are ruled by a muslim dictator, it's because they report to Moscow and Beijing, not Washington. Look at a map and you'll see that Iran is right between two countries - Iraq and Afghanistan, what a surprise! Gee, we just happened to be building military bases there for 10 years, what a coincidence...
Obama is prepared to go to war with the WHOLE WORLD, just to prove to Democrat strategist James Carville that he DOES have a pair...
