Barrack Obama ran as the Peace candidate and received votes of many of us, including me.

However Obama betrayed us, or was simply co-opted by the war-machine that cannot sleep without bombing a damn country.

We should make Obama know that we are not happy with his wars close and personal, by collecting signatures asking him to return the Nobel Peace Prize, maybe then He will remember that We the people of the USA want Jobs and Not Bombs.

We cannot be taken for granted and we must show that we aren't !

So he helps take out a dictator after the people asked for our help and he's a monster now... A man that supported terrorism and support tyrants around the world. Obama was the man that deserves the award after all.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. Obamas a joke

Tell that to the people Qaddafi killed oh wait you can't...Your blind hatred for everything Obama keeps you away from reason. What he's done is good. The economy may be a bit shitty but he's done well. At this point I don't think anyone in the whitehouse can fix the economy for a good 10 years.

What business is it of the us to invade sovereign nations? No one hates Obama but call a spade a fucking space, he has continued bush's warmongering and his idea of running an economy fails miserably. He is a brilliant orator and I believe his intents are genuine, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Since we made ourselves the sole superpower of world and the vanguard of democracy it made it our business to help those who want democracy. Granted, we can't invade everyone but one by one tyranny will fall.

We should support Gaddafi for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Now the people of Libya will have to pay back for the 1 Billion Dollars ''favor'' from the coalition.

Don't be simplistic, they have changed one dictator for the oil corporation and debt slavery.

You are simplistic. The people of Libya have changed a totalitarian system with the freedom to choose how to live their own lives.

1 Billion Dollars is nothing for Libya, and nothing for freedom.

You are one sided and you repeat all totalitarian arguments over and over: how bad it is to be free, you are not safe, it's anarchy and so on. Your position goes against your own interests.

You are in love with Obama that you don't see this is a repeat of Iraq and Saddam all over again, continue sucking it up to the man, He his proud and having an orgasm.

A true revolution is the one that happened in Egypt and Tunisia, Libya was hijacked.

You are in love with Putin that you don't see that this was supported by the UN because it indeed posed a threat to our global security, continue sucking it up to the fascist ideology, You keep it alive.

Of course, Libya is a small country with no civil society but with huge wealth, such that there will be some pressure on it. However, the power will be split between several countries, like Italy, France, UK and USA, such that it will not be extremely bad. Also, the fear of Al Qaeda and the problems in Algeria will further decrease the pressure. The history of war for independence in Algeria and current problems in the Western economies will increase the caution of idiotic fascists which only care about power and only see power abuses everywhere. Plus, I myself heard on TV a NTC speaker saying very clearly that "there is no place for any American or French troops to defend our oil facilities", immediately after the fall of Tripoli. Perfect English, too. I trust those people to defend their interests better than Gaddafi defended his own. Now you explain your position, why did you prefer Gaddafi.

PS I don't support Obama since he continues torture in Afghanistan. If people are tortured then there is no civilization left. However, with Bush we would have been in the middle of the Third War right now.

Lybia is not a war for oil ... you are a genius man.

[-] 1 points by doru001 (174) 13 years ago

Oil is less important than people. You forgot that.

[-] 1 points by doru001 (174) 13 years ago

You simplify too much.

Obama applied for the peace prize after 17 days in office. The leader of the worlds largest and most aggressive standing army, wins an award intended for those who reduce standing armies.

You couldn't have a bigger travesty of justice. What a fucking joke.

The Nobel Prize lost it's credibility years ago. It's a joke. They're even thinking of giving Zuckerberg a peace prize. Go figure. I may sign it though. He never deserved it to begin with.
