At the White House Thursday, President Obama announced that he is nominating Chicago real estate investor Penny Pritzker to head the Commerce Department.
Pritzker is a member of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. She also served on the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board.-----Well then we know what a piece of shit she is right off the top. She wants us to be competitive with Bangladesh.
Your post doesn't even begin to tell her story. Can you judge a Prez by his appointees? She has been a major fundraiser for O before most of you ever heard of him.
She was a candidate for this same job in 2009, but had to back out because of her financial finagling. She's a Hyatt and their family pioneered off shore tax havens...950 trusts. Here's the vetting she got from the NYT last time...wonder if they will update soon?

Being rich is not a sin -
George Washington was the richest man in America
Family members doing unethical things ( ask Edwin Booth ) is not a sin
But there do seem to be a number of things that Penny did that are very anti-99%
Help me out here. Whenever you want to make people think you are maybe a little bipartisian because you kinda sorta make a wishy washy milquetoast criticism of a Democrat, does smoke literally come out of your ears as you do it? You know, because it is such a violation of your programming.
If that's the best you can come up with on Pritzker, I'd love to hear your opinion about Mel Watt. Try not to blow a circuit.
if being rich is not a sin, why are they vilified by the obama adminstration and then he uses them for fund raising?
specifically - who and when did someone in the Obama administration "vilify" all "rich" people ?
the meme of the obama administration is the rich dont pay their " fair share". or obama saying in a speech in Quncy Illinois 2010( he went off his teleprompter) , "I do think at a certain point you've made enough money". It's none of his or anyones business how much money someone can earn.
do YOU think the rich pay their fair share?
Eisenhower would say NO [ "his" top tax rate was 91% ] So did Warren Buffet
little warren plays games. he pays his taxes on capital gaines NOT small salary. there are also bonds that are tax free. dont like it, change the tax code.
Great - you want to change the tax code to use the Buffet rule and eliminate the cap gains preference where a worker pays so much more tax on a $100,000 salary than a wall street gambler who makes $100,000
there is no " buffet rule". warren hasnt done anything wrong, or illegal. . cap gaines isnt a preference, its the law.
good troll - pick at the languge rather than the truth!
the tax code allows anyone to do what buffet and other taxpayers ( at all economic levels) have done. dont like it, change the code
Democratic Party plant
republiclan party weed
I think your incredible wealth has made you over sensitive.
Fear of the IRS is a powerful thing.
Have you reported your overseas holdings today?
How about your "emergency" Caymans stash?
who are you speaking to?
You.
the questions you posted have nothing to do with me.
Keep telling yourself that and someday you might actually believe it.
You may not be there yet, but you sure want to be, or you wouldn't be talking up their trash for them..
incedible wealth? do not have that overseas holdings? I dont have any "emergency" caymans cash? I dont have that either
Stockholm syndrome then?
Or just American Idol dreams?
none of the above.
Employers should be able to make as much money as they want - as long as all of their employees are making a living wage.
Minimum wage ( not living wage ) - is employers biting the hands that feed them.
not according to obama "I do think at a certain point you've made enough money" speech made at Quincy Illinois , 2010
Addressing the non-pay of employees. Addressing the lack of domestic jobs. Addressing off-shoring to slave/sweat shops to squeeze out every penny possible to shove into their own pockets ( into off shore hidden accounts ).
eterna - your BS is weak.
obama was addressing the people who he thinks make to much money. But there are sports figures, actors, writers, singers, studios heads, directors, to who obama would never say they are making too much money. they are his doners.
Why say it at all ? Why say it if he is undermining his supporters?
Perhaps because -
Addressing the non-pay of employees. Addressing the lack of domestic jobs. Addressing off-shoring to slave/sweat shops to squeeze out every penny possible to shove into their own pockets ( into off shore hidden accounts ).
I mean he is not running for office - he is in office ( final term of office) - so where is his gain?
he said it in 2010.
2010 means he was then dissing supporters for his next run for office. Again he was in office if money was all it was about - if it was all a show - why say anything at all?
You don't think he might have been trying to get Road-blockers in Congress to act - do ya?
Unthinkable.
But since his re-election?
What would be the point?
what obama said was not written on his teleprompter. when he goes office his pre written speech and speaks his own words, you hear the truth about what he really thinks. in that case, he thought that people who made a lot money made too much money. yet, his " "friends "are wealthy. obama has no interest in being president, but he does like the perks of office.
He has said much the same since then. Check the inaugural speech for just one example. He was already in office for the final term.
You undermine your own argument.
the friends was in quotes because they arent his friends, they're his donors. he has no friends, just hangers on.
