I think most churches tend to side with pro life parties. Like to see how this one turns out. OWS has an honorable ideology fighting corporate greed. Yet, OWS protestors are being talked about like liberal scum... Churches would be a great to have in our corner.

Churches were originally referred to as sanctuaries, later the Catholic Church was the sanctuary of last resort, representatives of the crown were not allowed to remove a person from the premises once they had asked for sanctuary.

Traditionally churches were the centers of social justice (the Inquisition took care of that little detail). So it isn't so odd that a church group would devote the resources to that end.

Devotion to a supreme being is personal not institutional although representatives of the institution could and often did/do offer guidance in that direction.

Great! Go for that sanctuary! Maybe your comrades in Chicago can find reverend wright and find sanctuary with him. Of course, you can't be white......

of course they can be white. Obama loves his white votes as well as his black ones.

Yea. Jim Wallis, founder of Sojourners, a ministry professing a devotion to the pursuit of “social justice.”

doesn't sound like a brainwashing sect to me. lol

what ever happened to churches professing a devotion to God?

“And the Lord will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:40

Sounds like this is one of the few churches out there devoted to implementing the teaching of their Jesus. Even as an atheist, I have to respect that. It seems so rare these days.

and you being an Atheist only helps to prove I was wrong. why if an Atheist would quote Sojourners it has to be legitimate. rofl.

I didn't quote Sojourners. You are incoherent.
