Just sent my email to the relevant people about this complication that we came accross with: Dear comrades, I am writtng from Take The Square Spain (http://www.facebook.com/Take.the.Square)
I was about to make a point regarding why I am totally and absolutely AGAINST the NYCGA using the term "Anarchist College", thus getting related to the violent behaviour and fear that this word brings about. But I did not need to!
The unrespectul and in cases violent comments made by -so called- anarchists defending this concept in the thread (http://nycga.cc/2011/10/05/liberty-plaza-anarchist-college-seeks-teacherfacilitators/#comment-3831) are enough proof of it and give us the reason.
Some of the comments divert the attention to literature and how well developed and correct is the paradigm of Anarchy in the books.
We live in a society where Anarchist and Fascists are pretty much the same. Te paper stacked up inside books can afford to bear absolutely ANYTHING. But blunt reality is that people and their misuse of concepts are an issue and a threat for the 99% movement. Anarchists manage too often to be regarded as violent agents, and many of the pro-anarchy posts in this very same thread back up my statement.
Most of the Anarchists that I met (real life ones, not cellulose and ink perfect and polite angels) have never read a book or even know to spell the word!! Do you think that they even care about getting a real notion?
Violent Anarchists are simply supporting our disagreement with every violent speech that they offer. It is impossible to deal and come to terms with violent people like the ones who pretend to defend Anarchy in this thread (as much as in "real" life). I hereto submit and OFFICIAL REQUEST to the NYCGA to use common sense and consider our requests to use another term that more conveniently fits the same purpose. May I suggest for example ASSERTIVENES
Thanks for listening
