We are losing our way. Part of this is us simply giving up/lack of motivation. The other part is due to increasing regulation that makes start ups that much more difficult.
You need a pill, play it safe, its a dangerous world out there, etc etc etc.
Creative, aggressive people making things happen. Thats been one of the keys for a long time.

Failure to invest in education + cronyism & nepotism + Elites lost in their own little world + monopolies across the boards = The Quadrangle of Doom for new people with new ideas. The situations that have to be overcome to get a business up and running within The Quad of Doom are a needless burden which will cause most people to hesitate to gamble their lives and money on a startup.Plus,The US has become a country where money is just not circulating freely,as money must do in a capitalist system. Many people suffer from basic wage theft combined with creeping inflation, while others who could afford to spend are holding onto their money because they are afraid-as well they might be!
Teh monopolies across the board thing is a great point.
Innovation has died. America is happy being stupid. And don't tell me otherwise, nerd!
