Total number of medical licenses is viciously negotiated by AMA lobby. AMA artificially controls the demand supply of number of doctors. Hence doctors salaries are high, which also a compounding effect on the total health care cost.
Noted economist Dean Baker says AMA control of total # doctors PLUS drug companies long patent life (15 years) are have a compounding effect on health care cost. Both must be changed.
Do yourself a very big favor and stay away from them as much as possible. Pharmaceuticals and hospital errors are the NUMBER ONE cause of death in our country.
Research any and all health problems yourself,
I'm sure you will remember your advice when you have a heart attack.
My blood pressure is 117 over 78 and my cholesterol is 170 80 but if I had symptoms of a heart attack I would call 9-11 and take an aspirin.
Stay away from them as much as possible ! Research everything !
