Is Capitalist Greed a way of American Life? Theres no limits to their Corporate Greed? Some potbellied billionaire is casting his beady eyes on precious metals in the Moon. Is this what we want to leave our kids? A burned out Hollow Earth and Lunar Landscape ravaged by Capitalist greed? The evil machinations of people with Money, corrupting and continuing to corrupt a good clean wholesome way of life. Pig-Headedness is their way of Life on Wall Street. Viva la Revolution !!!
I have no problem with people mining the moon. Our Earth is what is precious.
Greed is of all time and while the root of much evil, it doesn't explain the situation we are now in. Focusing your anger on greed is a waste of time and energy. It's part of human nature.
A job of society is to regulate greed so it harms us least and over the last 30 years those regulations have been hollowed out.
Now as to your story about mining the moon. If that can benefit life on earth I am all for it. If someone gets rich taking that initiative, I don't mind it at all.
There is much wrong with corruption in business and politics. There is nothing wrong with private business initiative itself, as long as it is properly regulated so it doesn't harm the ecosystem.
I don't see much ecosystem on the moon, so I am not as concerned as you are.
Mining the moon? Doesn't entirely sound like a bad idea, if managed correctly. The world is going to desperately need the excess space due to the oncoming food, and population crunches, not to mention the impending energy shortages.
