Wake up you fucking navel-gazing, unicorn-chasing morons!!

Forget 2016 For Now, Dems & Left Need To Be Ready For 2014

By: Keith Brekhus more from Keith Brekhus, March 12th, 2014

...If sane people & Dems wish to neutralize the 1%-GOP & Tea Party’s ability to harm the country, they cannot afford to wait until 2016 to mobilize. Democrats need to energize young voters, minority voters, and all voters this year. Control of the U.S. Senate is at stake as is the future of the country in critical races up and down the ticket. Hillary Clinton can wait for enthusiastic activists to join her campaign if she runs in 2016. However, America can not afford for left-leaning and centrist voters to wait until 2016 to get involved. 2014 is an election year. If Democratic voters sit on the sidelines again this midterm cycle, it will be a repeat of the 2010 disaster and Democrats will suffer the consequences for their inaction. Educate, mobilize, and when the time comes, get out and vote like your life depends on it. Because... it does.

I'm probably more socialist than you- judging mainly from your inability to converse with anyone- just don't happen to slobber at centralized power like you do.

So if thats your stance on markets and scales, what do you propose?

(this is usually where Dem and Rep loyalists usually revert to insults as answers)

"The solution is to punish corruption."

Agreed.

"It is insane to suggest that the bank bailouts were a bad thing or an example of corruption - they were a necessity. Now that the economy has been restored these large institutions must be broken up, and the corrupt must be punished."

Pathetic.

"Relative to its current peer countries, the study says, the United States is also doing unusually well."

Comparing trash to trash is a sure way to get the stats you are looking for.

Per capita GDP is based on a whole, and with the vast majority of gains going to the upper class via constant bailouts to the multinationals, I'm not surprised to see its on an increase.

Unfortunately, wages are still stagnant and the real measure of jobs- LPR- is still at multi decade lows. Meanwhile, the cost of everything is up.

There has been no recovery.

Kicking 4% of the people off of the unemployment rolls is not a recovery.

Giving 5 Trillion - including our current 75 billion per month unlimited- to the 1% is not a recovery.

Peacocking the MSM is not a recovery.

so basically you just accepted that everything I said was true, so there really is no recovery, its all gone to wall st.

"and hold the entire economy hostage; or what to do about it."

You let them fail you dumb shit. God some of you people are so fuckin scared of some short term pain for long term gain, its just pathetic.

The Democrats are the "Boiling Frog party".

The Republicans are the "Frog in a blender party".

Do you want a death by a thousand cuts, or a few quick slashes? Both parties are killing America.

  • Both parties are THE SAME. No matter which party is in power, the status quo NEVER changes.

  • Both duopoly parties pander and serve the interests of big money. They DO NOT represent the 99%. They support a political system of the money, by the money and for the money.

  • The people who are elected to run our govt are paid actors. Very similar to those you see on TV. They are just role playing the agenda mandated by party leadership. The script is written by wealthy monied interests. They are good party soldiers and team players, who will take a political bullet for their party, but NOT for their 99%constituents.

  • Our political system It is a Good Cop/Bad Cop charade.

  • No matter which party you vote for, the major policies that support the 1%'s control will NOT be changed.

  • only "Jerry Springer" hot button issues will be subjected to real change.

Enough Hope AND Change. LET IT BURN !!! The faster this corrupt system crashes, the sooner we can have a complete overhaul.

Nice work-up, but horribly flawed: We can't again afford to reprove to newbies or/and ignoramuses how damaging and dangerous it is to allow republiCons to (fully) control our government, which they hate and are bent to destroy!

You say "let it burn." Nice. Some of us have kids.

[-] -2 points by Shule (2638) 10 years ago

Yeh, but what are the Democrats going to do that is so different from what the Republicans are going to do?

From what has been happening, one would think we have a Republican in the office as President right now.

Besides the two parties, doesn't big money really decide what happens? The two parties might look different, and maybe that's just for show. It's easier to corner the market when there's an illusion of choice, and none are more hopelessly enslaved than by that.

Are you completely incapable of not being an asshole? Big money designing everything is a larger problem. And just because a group of people in power are doing bad things doesn't mean that every person with conservative views is a bad person.

We have a democrat for president but he's doing the same big money agenda. Republicans tend to be capitalists in general, and while maybe some people shouldn't be given so much power, the solution is sure the hell not murdering them, because you're going to have to keep murdering people over and over until you actually fix the system allowing for it. There are a lot of people who should have charges of extortion and crimes against humanity put against them, and not all are republican.

Obama and Bush are part of the same elitist club for example. And playing good cop, bad cop.

[-] -3 points by bullfrogma (448) 10 years ago

I'm sure that bill isn't theater, I'm sure they really want it. I'm saying whatever big money wants, it gets. And we have absolutely no way to know who's really on board with that.

The republicans just don't have to hide it. They're allowed to be bad cops because they're capitalists. So they can get away with doing things that look greedy in the eyes of the nation.

We can't again afford to reprove to newbies or ignoramuses how damaging and dangerous it is to allow republiCons to (fully) control our government again, which they hate and are bent to destroy!

Our negligence, our 60+% NO-SHOW, is the fucking problem!!

[-] 3 points by Shule (2638) 10 years ago

Yes, I totally agree. But the only way to prevent a total Republican take over of our government is for the Democrats to put forth in the next few elections viable progressive antiwar candidates who do not lick the boots of the Yankee corporate imperialists. Otherwise the serious progressives will not roll out of bed to bother showing up at the polls, and your worst fears will manifest. Its up to the Democratic establishment. If they put up another people traitor back stabbing war mongering Oreo cookie like Obama, or worse a wretched war whore psycho hag like Hillary its over.

[-] -1 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 10 years ago

And if they did, 1%-Cons would suddenly quit sabotaging, filibustering and lying on 1%-owned MSM? What planet do you live on, Planet Perfection????

Get people Registered and Voting in November!

Randi Rhodes is quitting on Friday 5/14/14, because of you fucking idiots!!

[-] 6 points by Shule (2638) 10 years ago

I'm not kidding. I'm a realist. I've been around politics for a pretty too long time, and what I'm tellin' ya is for real. There are plenty enough people out there already registered, and ready to vote Democrat. That is not the problem. The problem is with the Democratic party establishment itself; they keep on putting warmongering Yankee Wall Street bootlickers up for candidates. If you want the Democrats to win in November, and have them win in the Presidential election that will come up in a couple years, you need to get them to put up some for real "for the people" candidates for election.

[-] 3 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 10 years ago

That was very well put, but it is unrealistic to think that the Democrats will abandon their benefactor$ any time soon.

[-] 3 points by Shule (2638) 10 years ago

Your probably correct. So that is why we ought be getting ready for a Republican dominated congress this fall, and get ready for a serious shafting. I'm sorry to say America has seen nothing yet.

[-] 2 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 10 years ago

Maybe the threat of that along with the realization that both parties are corporate owned and not working in our interests ...that will be the impetus we need for a strong third party run. If it took Obama's Presidency to prove to the left that the Democrats had abandoned them, then what will it take for the Republicans to come to the same conclusion with their politicians who serve the same big monied interests.

[-] 4 points by wickerman (62) 10 years ago

For many that time has come. Remember though they are conservatives and moderates. It would take a third party that straddled many issues while focusing on a few consensus items, like corporate influence in politics. Or corporate rape of the middleclass.

[-] 5 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 10 years ago

As people from both the left, and the moderate right at least become educated on how they have been manipulated and lied to,

It is my hope that a bond will grow, both will become more radicalized...and then we will be able to tackle our most pressing issues.

[-] 1 points by wickerman (62) 10 years ago

99% of the people can make a big difference, but 43% pulling to the left and 45% pulling to the right with 11% cheering for both sides is going to get us nowhere.

[-] 2 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 10 years ago

by definition war is destructive

[+] -4 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 10 years ago

Many people see the situation we are in and look no further than the last elected officials to find the problems. These people are not processing the situation correctly, they ignore/forget/misunderstand the recent past.

And for some suspiciously unbelievable reason these Few Loud people can't see the active UNPRECEDENTED sabotage going on in our government today!!

It takes one to know one (is this a lost notion?), That's why Dems hire SCUMBAGS to hunt SCUMBAGS!!

2010 (when idiots didn't show up) Never EVER Again!!

[-] 7 points by Shule (2638) 10 years ago

If you want the idiots to show up at an election, you'll first need to get the Democrats to run real people i.e. not corporate bootlicking warmongering scumbags, for candidates.

I sure hope some hi-ups in the Democratic party are reading this stuff.

[-] 1 points by wickerman (62) 10 years ago

If you listened to their (high ranking Democrats) comments about the 2000 pages of Obama care they think that reading is overrated.

[-] -1 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 10 years ago

Do you think MSM will inform the public about "real people i.e. not corporate bootlicking warmongering scumbags, for candidates?"

[-] -3 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 10 years ago

Gotta Vote this November, 2014!!!
