Forum Post: No Taxation Without Representation!

My general view/opinion of Occupy Wall Street is I agree. The only thing I find lacking in the protest is a platform to connect every American with the Occupy Wall Street protestors. There has to be something they have in common since 99% of the population is in the same class as the protestors. However 99% of the population I’m sure doesn’t agree, but that’s when it hit me. An old slogan that was used to unite all Americans (the 99%) against the British (the 1%)

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!

We the 99% are NOT represented equally as the 1% are and that is FUNDAMENTALLY UNJUST. Our forefathers in the 1700s did not fight for the freedom of all Americans just to then be taken away by the wealthiest 1%.

We need our government to be For The People By The People, not For The Corporations, By The 1%. The 99% need to be heard and listened to. We need representation. We need more representation that the wealthiest 1%... why?? BECAUSE WE PAY MORE TAXES!

We should have a democracy of the 99% not an oligarchy composed of the 1%. With this platform I believe any American, supportive of the Occupy Wall Street protestors or not, can agree with. This is something no Republican or Democrat can fight over. This is the truth, the fact and needs to be the REALITY.

I wish all the protestors the best of luck and hope people see my message, adopt it and use it to its full potential. People can’t keep their ears closed and head turned forever. You will be heard!
