Is it just me or is the press simply gone from Zuccotti Park? looks like Bloomberg has convinced them that the movement is over. Your thoughts?

I don't think Occupy is getting much coverage anywhere.
It is sad to say but Americans have a short attention span and after two months they get bored with a story. I doubt another pepper spraying incident would get much coverage.
"The City of New York has a great many regulations for privately-owned public space, and some of the more important ones provide for the areas to be inviting to the public, visible, and easy to access.
Completely surrounding the park with chest-height steel barricades clearly violates these rules."
Hey idiot, camping in the park is violating rules. Pissing in doorways is violating rules. Doing dope in public is violating rules. Raping women is violating rules. Need I go on? Really ,how stupid are you people that you can't get that? I guess it's only the rules that YOU want that are ok.
necromancy
I believe it was a member of the GOP, who said a while ago, that the press has to quit covering this.
I guess certain lobbies agreed, and paid to make it so.
Was anyone still looking to mainstream media for the truth anyway?
Unfortunately that is where a lot of people get their information. Whiloe protesting yesterday a lot of people asked me if it "was over" etc...
If the American press agrees , to report on what the police state says they can, then , let the cameras roll. or they can get beaten and arrested.activist page http://url2it.com/jsne
Is this another person complaining that the main stream news doesn't find endless repetitive complaining particularly newsworthy???
It is just an observation. Sorry it bugs you so much.

You got boring. We have more important things to cover.
Ahh, a self-appointed spokesperson for the for-profit "news" industry heard from ... guess we can pack it in now everybody.
Sarcasm, dear.
My bad... seems like a lot of people on here are trolling. You got me!!
The Kim and Kris divorce!
He has been wrong on everything else, hasn't he?
true
Calling it a "movement" was wildly aspirational. It wasn't, it isn't, and it's over.
Is everyone on this board a troll?
Makes the 99% bullshit claim a little easier to understand.
Sure, the 1% hasn't seen huge increases in their income over the past 30 years while everyone else hasn't. How silly of us.
OWS represents hardly anyone. The 99% thing was presumptuous and reflective of OWS self-importance. It's just like calling it a "movement".
Envision the '99%". Now envision the 20-something vagrant sand assorted other freaks out camping. Now try to imagine the campers as somehow delegates of the "99%". Yeah, it doesn't work. LOL.
I'm 48, have a job, and took a bath today. Thanks for parroting the right-wing clichés for us, good to see they are still recruiting the best and brightest. My love to the 'burbs...
Wow, congratulations. OWS is its own caricature. I visited OWS London at St. Paul's and Finsbury Square. It was a bunch of vagrant 20-something leftists. One guy was especially funny. His tent had writing on it from his LAST camping protest, some environmental thing from 2010. They did have a healing and meditation tent complete with bongo player, so that was runner up for most hilarious.
It isn't 99%, it's the 10% that's wanted socialism all along and some extremely needy 20-somethings that just want to belong to something...anything
I'm also old enough to know this "debate" isn't going anywhere. Enjoy preaching to the converted, it isn't going to affect my views, or, more importantly, my actions. Nice try though! Keep up the good work.
Keep up with that bath thing, maybe it'll catch on.
