People want to see organization from leader to doer. People want to know what you want and what work you will do for it. People want to know who is accountable for each aspect of your organization and for each aspect of the work to be done. People want to see faces and hear statements of cause, effect and remedy. In short: people want to see you respect the passion of your movement. After all, if you want to assemble and petition the government for redress; organize professionally, obtain required permits, coordinate with local owners and officials, speak clearly and present your petition or plural in writing for the public and public officials and legislators to read.
Establish a framework of ethics for occupy and set best practices to achieve moral outcomes for all occupy activities and promotions. Publish these for supporters to follow and opponents to respect.
A horizontal, non hierarchic organization requires leaders and managers and spokespersons and many other job assignments. Job is the key word. From leader to doer, each job assigned to and accomplished by those having the innate or trained skill to do the job. Horizontal, non hierarchic organization values each job, each person equally..
