I feel it has been pretty well established that we are upset with our representation being within the 1%. It feels like we can't vote for anybody without them falling into that category. Perhaps the best solution is to turn in blank ballots to show that we will not accept any of the candidates that we are offered. What do you all think?
This is commonly done, much in the same way that I have seen votes cast for Donald Duck or "None of the above". I have heard proposals to add that to ballots as a kind of vote of confidence where the candidate must beat None in order to win. I don't support that however.
I would argue that the better method is to run for office and get other parties onto the ballot. Starting at the local level and working up I would prefer to mount write-in candidates for every office so that, rather than stating we are just against what we are offered we offer an alternative. Not "I don't want you" but "Here is what I do want."
Pointless.
But I thought the Occupy Movement was against having actual leaders. I feel the Occupy Movement should start supporting some of its members for office, but it seems like something the movement is inherently against.
Yes, that will completely screw up the election!!!! Good thinking!!!
You mean in the "fill in" part, we put "I will be loyal to Neither."
No, but you go right ahead! I prefer to affect a change that does not help those i oppose.
