Greetings, we are launching a new Occupy Network at:
OccupyR is a social-network and discussion site. To assist in organizing the voice and thoughts, OccupyR.com provides forums with sub-categories, votable posts and comments, and search functionality. OccupyR.com is independent and unaffiliated, built by a small team of passionate web developers who seek to accelerate the movement. R for revolution.
The site is constantly improving, so please leave any feedback.
This is exactly what we need. An Occupy Network to help organize our ideas.
i recommend against going to another forum that has tools to censor and ban opinions they do not agree with. stay on this forum. I am also a developer.
there won't be any banning or censoring, except for trolls. The site operates based on transparency and only downvoted posts will be removed. we need a forum that is more organized and has tech support to help solidify our movement. there's too much noise at the moment. The key feature I think we need are sub-categories and the ability to vote up/down on posts, both of which are implemented in http://www.occupyR.com/ give it a spin and see how you like it.
"there's too much noise at the moment" sorry democracy isn't as sterile as you like but you admit you will censor.
Richard, I'm trying to help. So chill... Anyhow, I haven't decided on how to "censor" but we will appoint moderators. Only posts with a significant amount of downvotes will be considered for deletion. That is to help filter troll posts. If you have other ideas, I'm all ears. Anyways, that's all I have to say on this, take it or leave it. Thanks.
The forum has specific categories for topics and cities. Current sub-forums include:
Demands Strategy News
New York San Francisco Washington DC Boston Chicago Atlanta Los Angeles Seattle
Any other topics?
Feature requests are welcome as well.
I am amased at how Occupy works. Would like to have your input on the movement to understaqnd it better. I am asking you to answer 10 questions and I am happy to share results if you are interested. Please, take some time for it: Thank you! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q3NF7QB
