Forum Post: New Era of Law Enforcement Needed

I believe the OWS movement has proven that a new system and philosophy of law enforcement--policing is needed. The current system invites violence, racism, sexism, bullying and so much more. It's archaic. Tear-gassing, kicking, beating with clubs, shooting rubber bullets, but to name a few, are the tools of the uneducated and anger-issues male. The time has come for a dismantling of the current system, to be replaced with better-educated enforcers who have a background not only in criminology but also psychology. Begone with the old boy system of crooks. With new policing there would be fewer innocent people in prisons, less wife beatings by cops and so much more. OWS has shed light on this system as being so very wrong and so very -- dark ages. It's the perfect time to call for change, something that I believe the movement should back and adopt.
