Nestle CEO said: Water is not a humane right, and should be privatized.

Beware of libertarians. They want to privatize and commodify everything including the cells in your body and the air you breathe. They'll stop at nothing. They know that with their great wealth they will always be on top in a capitalist system and especially if it's free-wheeling and unregulated.

Well said. Everything is weaponized.

War and profit go hand in hand because you need militarization to protect and hoard and commodify the resources that have "value."

Don't forget the Tragedy of the Commons either. Its a delicate balance.

Probably every item needs its own consideration, but there is certainly something to be said about people not taking responsibility in certain situations.

Well said. It's so true. I think one of the problems with America is that we are so far gone as individualists and capitalists and so pitted against one another in competition that we have collectively forgotten what it means to be "collective" and hence, we've forgotten the Commons and even the Social Contract.
